Birthday Favors

I made 10 of these birthday treat bags for Cora's 9th birthday party with the neighborhood kids.  They are filled with some left over Halloween candy!  I used the mini treat bag thinlits with the It's My Party 12x12 dsp and the balloon punch.  The bow is from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  Also made some hershey kiss candy holders as ice cream cones but for some reason I can't get Blogger to load that photo.  Frustrating!

Musical Season Christmas Card 2

I originally saw this card on Dawn Olchefske's web site here.  I used the mini tinsel trim to make the bow.  I didn't have the metallic foil doilies but I thought the bow worked just fine.  Also I used the negative space from the drummer boy to place the cut out drummer boy up on dimensionals.  You can see the red mat peeking out from behind.

Thanks for stopping it today.

Stampin Up Musical Season

The Little Drummer Boy has always been a holiday favorite.  And that's the first thing that came to mind when I purchased the Musical Season stamp set.  This is what I came up with to share today.  Most supplies are Stampin Up.  Music notes are from an old stamp from my stash that I stamped and fussy cut.  The "rum pum pum pum...." was done on the computer and printed onto the small banner from the retired Bitty Banners framelits.  The red frame was made with the Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangles framelits.  And the drummer boy was stamped off twice and then stamped again and cut with my Scan N Cut and popped up on dimensionals.  I like the way this card came out.  I hope you do too.

Stampin UP Supplies:

Stamps:  Musical Season, Night In Bethlehem (for the stars)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Real Red
Dsp:  Merry Music

Correction:  the designer paper was from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Retiform Technique

This is a really different technique for me.  I followed the awesome technique video from Mixed Up Craft here.  I knew I wanted to use the Stampin Up set Seaside Shore.  I was determined to try this and probably a little too quick to start stamping.  You'll notice that my corners do not line up!  Not sure but I think they are supposed too!  Anyway it was fun to do and I like the way it turned out.  Give it a try.

Supplies:

Cardstock:  Stampin Up Flirty Flamingo, Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink:  Staz-On Black, Distress Oxides: Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Abandoned Coral and Antique Linen.

Hope your day goes swimmingly.

Spooky Cat Halloween!

As I was looking through a shoebox of previously made but not used halloween scraps I decided to use the orange square lattice embossed piece and the tag on a new card.  The "Spooky Cat" and witch hat were snipped from Stampin Up's current Spooky Night dsp.  On the inside I added a "happy halloween and that cute (?) little mouse from the current Spooky Cat stamp set.

Eeek! Halloween Mouse!

For some reason the little mouse in the Stampin Up Spooky Cat set fascinates me.  He's so much fun to use.  And he's all over that BOO!  The "Eeek" is from an older Whipper Snapper set.  I've added the new Stampin Up black rhinestone jewels, punched out the eeek with the Classic Label punch and adhered it to Pumpkin Pie glimmer paper.  A thin layer of the glimmer paper is the mat for the Boo!  It's hard to tell in the photo but the lone mouse running across the card was stamped in Versa Mark and heat embossed.  He's shiny cute in person!  And yes, I fussy cut him.

Eclipse Card for Halloween

I'm not sure where I was going with this card.  Can you tell?  I love the eclipse technique and wanted to try it.  This is what I came up with.  The elements on the card are Stampin Up from the current Spooky Cat set.  The little pumpkins are from a retired set - Spooky Fun.  I really like making Halloween projects.  You'll probably see a few more Halloween themed posts from me before the big night!

Have a great day.

Spooky Cat for Halloween!

This spooky cat and her Halloween bonnet were snipped directly from the new Stampin Up designer series paper "Spooky Night".  The other elements on the card are all from my stash: spider web and spider die, the Boo and the spider web embossing folder.  The bow is from a retired Stampin Up die and it sports a rhinestone jewel.

Thanks for stopping in today.  Hope your weekend is a good one!

Halloween U-Fold Card

This is an oversized/odd sized card.  It measures 8x6 when folded flat so I need to make an envelope for it if I decide to mail it.  I'd been wanting to try this kind of fold for a while after seeing all the fabulous cards on Pinterest. So this is my first one and I'm really happy with it.  Next one will be a A2 size hopefully.  On this one I used a lot of different products I hadn't used in a while.  The dsp is current Stampin Up - Spooky Night - as are the pumpkins I hand cut from that paper. The little kitty peeking at those pumpkins is a Penny Black die from a year or two ago. It's hard to tell in the photo but the kitty was die cut with black glimmer paper and I added some googlie eyes to him.

In case you're wondering where I've come from I used to blog at Five Bichons and Me.  Hard to believe it's been two years since I posted to that blog so I decided to start a new one.  Life happens and there are no longer 5 Bichons.  Four of the original five have crossed the rainbow bridge.  Miss Holly is still with me.  And now there is a new girl for her to play with.   Meet miss Sugar.
She is keeping miss Holly on her paws that's for sure.  Speaking of miss Holly here she is.
Even though it's been too long since I did any blogging I still play with my stamping toys.  I love to make cards and I do a scrapbook page now and then.  I'm still a hobby demonstrator with Stampin Up but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to do that.  There are so many great products out there to play with so time will tell.  This is my first post to this blog.  I hope you enjoy your visit.  Come back often.

Thanks for stopping in today.
