Christmas Santa Clause Card

Santa's head shot is actually a Spellbinders die set.  I made this card a month ago and for the life of me can't find it.  It's one of the small die sets that is packaged on a 6x3 1/2 backer piece.  I die cut all the pieces on Neenah white card stock except Santa's cap. Part of it  was die cut  on red glimmer paper. His face was colored in with Copics.  I added some Viva Pearl Pen to the brim of his cap and pom pom.  The Merry is from a Penny Black die.  Card stock is Stampin Up Smokey Slate and Basic Gray.  The designer paper is from a 6x6 paper pad from Michaels a few years ago.  I added a few snowflake sequins and rhinestones and it was done.

The hunt continues for the missing Santa die set!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Merry Christmas Jolly Bingo Bits

This was a fun card to make.  I had no idea in my head when I dug this old SU Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set out of my tub of holiday sets.

I stamped and embossed all 24 of them in gold.  Punched them out with a 1 " circle punch and mounted them onto the smallest Stitched Shape Square from Stampin Up.  Played around with placement on a 5x7 white card base.  The Merry Christmas was cut from a Penny Black die 5 times in white and once in gold foil paper.  I didn't use all 24 pieces but saved them for a rainy day!  Here's the inside:
I'm as usual scrambling to finish my Christmas cards.  Thanks for visiting today.  Stay warm and dry if you're in the "snow" path this weekend.

Happy Scenes Christmas

My official start to making Christmas cards this year.  I've actually made a couple others that haven't been posted but now it's down to the wire to make sure they get mailed on time.  I used the Happy Scenes Stampin Up set and the Hearts Come Home set.  Also used the Card Front Builder die to make the moon and stars across the top.  No sentiment on the front but inside is a little surprise.  There is a pocket on the back of the front that will hold a gift card or a special note or ........? You can catch a glimpse of the red pocket in the photo below.
Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy.  Thanks for visiting.

Keepsake Box for Cora

I've been meaning to post this and almost completely forgot!  The designer paper did most of the work here.  I knew she would love it as soon as I saw it.  I mean what 10 year old doesn't love unicorns?  The box is fairly large and is a paper mache box from Michaels measuring 8 x 10 and 4 3/4 deep.  I covered it with the dsp and mod podge to adhere it.  I added to the stars that were already on the dsp with the large star flourish (die from Anna Griffin) and additional tiny stars all die cut from glitter paper. Here's a side view:
She loved it and has already filled it up with her treasures.  Something tells me I may need to make another one!

Hello Card - Sunday Sketches SS049

Playing along with the Sunday Sketch at Stamps to Die For I pulled out the Tin Tile embossing folder for the first time.  I used it on what looks like the new Galvanized card stock from Stampin Up but it really is a piece of left over brushed silver card stock from a few years ago.  It looks and feels the same to me.  The embossing looks great on it just the same.

Supplies:
CS:  Whisper White, Brushed Silver (retired), Night of Navy
DSP: Tranquil Textures
Stamps: Varied Vases
Accessories:  Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF,  a retired SU sparkly embellishment

That's my sweet Sugar at the top of my blog.  Isn't she cute!

Stampin Up Blended Seasons Thinking of You

I love the flowers from the Blended Seasons set.  I colored them with Highland Heather light and dark Stampin Blends and Granny Apple Green light and dark Stampin Blends.  And then cut them out with my Scan n Cut2.  Then I did some more fussy trimming around them so as not to show the white border. The flowers are layered on top of a panel I hand cut from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Dsp.  "Thinking of You" is from the Darling Label stamp set and cut with an oval die.  I cut out some extra leaves to put behind it. I ran the Granny Apple Green layer through the Subtle Dynamic TIEF. And at the end I added a few green Glitter Enamel dots.

Supplies:

CS: SU Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green
DSP: SU Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Spec.
Ink: SU Gorgeous Grape, Blends: Daffodil Delight (center of flowers), Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green
Stamps: Blended Seasons, Darling Label
Accessory: Oval die (Hero Arts Infinity Oval dies), SU Glitter Enamel Dots, SU TIEF Subtle Dynamic (Granny Apple Green layer)

Thanks for visiting today.  Happy Stamping!

Pop On By Stampin Up Haunted House

Well, It has taken Halloween to be on the horizon for me to post to my blog...shame on me.  I have actually made and sent cards.  Problem is I forget to photograph them.  The list of excuses is much longer but hopefully I'll post more often now.

I do love to make Halloween cards.  I knew when I saw the Pop Up House thinlit set in the annual catalog I wanted to make a haunted house.  Not a scary one of course.  Any way this is what I ended up making.  I only found two You Tube videos to research for help with the pop up part.  There may be more now.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.  By the way....this one is practice card number three.  The first two...were learn from my mistakes cards!

Most of my supplies are Stampin Up some are retired now.

Party Pandas in a Box

I saw this type of box card on Linda Bauwin's blog.  Katherine Edwards from her team actually made it for a team challenge.  You'll find some instructions and a video on Linda's post here.

I used the Party Pandas with different cardstock and designer paper.  It folds flat and fits in a A2 size envelope.

It's trying to be spring here but not quite yet.  Wish it would hurry!  Thanks for stopping in today.

A Scrapbook Page....Finally!

It was the Daddy Daughter Dance at my granddaughter Cora's school this year.  The theme was costume and I'm told a good time was had by all!  And I finally made a scrapbook page.  It is after all the main reason I got into paper crafting; although you'd never know it.

The cardstock and ink are Stampin Up.  Designer paper was from a paper pad in my stash.  Other embellishments were cut with my Cameo - eye glasses, mustache, hat and music notes.  The feathers on the bottom glasses were from the actual pink boa she wore.  My journal piece was computer generated with MS Word.

Thanks for visiting.  Hopefully the warmer weather will be here soon.
